Directed by Yadollah Samadi, the Iranian flick won Best Screenplay and Best Child Actor awards at the 10th edition of Children’s India International Film Festival.
Mehdi Yar Azizi won the Best Child Actor Award for his brilliant performance in ‘The Other’s Father.’
The film depicts the life of 6-year-old Shahab who is still unable to speak at his age, and his only communication is with his mother. While others taunt him for being mentally handicapped, Shahb retaliates by hurting them, thus causing problems for his family.
The 10th Children’s India International Film Festival was held from 22-26 November, 2015 at Mangalore, Karnataka.
