TEHRAN, Sep. 30 (MNA) – Iran’s Hassan Rouhani has chaired a special committee upon his arrival in Tehran back from his visit to New York to participate at 70th UN General Assembly.

Special Mina Inquiry Committee, as it has been called, is an attempt by the president to converge efforts by different government bodies addressing the Mina incident and transfer of Iranian Hajj pilgrims’ search, transfer and other relevant issues.

President’s official website reported that the committee's meeting was a plenary meeting where Mr. Rouhani, having received all reports and the latest outcomes of searches, and the performance of different government bodies engaged in the efforts, issued a directive to accelerate the process of transfer of the dead pilgrims to the country as the first priority of all government bodies. Rouhani demanded that all capacities and resources be mobilized, and all legal and administrative arrangements be exploited in negotiating with Saudi Arabian authorities.

The website report also said that Rouhani had emphasized on precise addressing of the fate of each and every killed or injured and missing pilgrims whatsoever as important task of the committee. “It is imperative that the diplomatic machinery of the country use all its resources to improve the level of coordination of Saudi officials and the Leader’s special office on Hajj rites on one hand, and Hajj and Pilgrimage Organization on the other hand, and we hope that responsible organizations would do their best in facilitating transfer of the dead and injured pilgrims for their bereaved families,” Rouhani emphasized.

“Necessary and exact predictions and planning should be made to facilitate the returning back of the pilgrims,” Rouhani strongly demanded.
