Iranian, Swiss companies ink MoU

ZANJAN, Sep. 14 (MNA) – A company in the city of Zanjan has signed an MoU on technology with a Swiss company to exchange information and experiences and to implement joint projects.

Director General of Zanjan Information Technology and Communications Department Morteza Shahami said at the meeting for signing the MoU that, “one of Zanjan Province’s software companies managed to sign this MoU with a Swiss firm after two years of negotiations.”

“So far, the company fromZanjan has taken effective measures in the field of electronics in the country including the provision of stock’s infrastructures in Iran,” asserted Shahami.

He further stated that, “the Swiss company is also active in the area of electronic banking possessing 10 international offices and we hope that this MoU will lead to more cooperation and continuous communication between the two companies.”

“Iran owns a great deal of potentials in the field of ICT and we need to take advantage of young people’s capabilities in this regard,” said Shahami.

This official deemed the aim of the MoU as building banking and investment systems expressing hope that by signing this agreement the two companies will complement each other and overcome the problems they are faced with in offering their products to the market.

“Iran has also had trouble making economic exchanges with the world due to SWIFT limitations which this Swiss company will be able to provide significant help in this area,” he added.

The Swiss company representative also stated that, “we are making efforts to use the experiences of educated Zanjani youth who are specialists in the field of IT in order to alleviate our company’s weaknesses in Switzerland."

“The signing of this MoU is a great opportunity to produce new systems in stock and banking areas and by combining the two companies’ abilities we will be able to offer our joint products to the market in Europe,” the Swiss representative concluded.
