Houman Fathi the General Manager of International Affairs of Iran’s Agriculture Ministry met with the Finnish delegation headed by Risto Artjoki the Director-General of Food and Forestry Department of Finland’s Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
Fathi recounted that Iran-Finland cooperation on agriculture kicked off in last year and the countries are going to join in manufacturing agricultural machinery and setting up joint companies.
The Finnish official also welcomed the prospect of expansion of ties after the Vienna agreement of July 14 and affirmed the will to exchange documents on bilateral cooperation.
The two sides agreed upon trading Iran’s shrimp and dried fruit and nut to Finland in exchange for the Finnish counseling service in greenhouse planting.
During their three day visit to Iran, the Finnish 7-person delegation toured an agricultural mechanization testing center, the Moghan Farm and Factory, and a dairy company.
