According to Mehr News Parliament correspondent, at the end of today’s open session of Parliament, a statement issued by MPs from Tehran constituencies and signed by 202 members of the Parliament, was released.
The statement which refers to the recent remarks made by the Leader and emphasizes on the necessity of public awareness to counter the hegemony of East and West, declares that, “we feel obliged to defend the thoughts of Imam Khomeini, who said shouting 'down with America' will bring about its collapse, and the ideas of Imam Khamenei who also said by this agreement they were seeking to infiltrate into the country; we want to entirely block this possibility and we would not allow neither America's economic influence nor its political and cultural influence to be inflicted upon our country. On the basis of the principles of Quran, we should never stop confronting arrogance and hegemony and currently America is a perfect example of arrogance in the world.”
