VW officially starts producing Gol in Iran

TEHRAN, April, 10 (MNA) — Since the beginning of the production in Iran of Volks Wagon Gol automobiles, 400 of the passenger cars have so far been manufactured inside the country however, it is expected that in the current year, no less than 15,000 cars are to be built and marketed.

“On a pilot project carried out in the past March,, 296 VW passenger cars were manufactured for the first time in Iran but, the routine production of the VW Gol has already started in the southeastern city of Bam, early in April”, Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA) reported.

 

The VW Gol will for a period of time be produced in the form of CKD and the parts will be supplied by the parent VW Company in Brazil.

 

The newly established Khodrosazan-e Bam producing Gol is an affiliate with the Kerman Khodro Auto Manufacturing Co. in the southeastern city of Kerman, Iran.
