The high ranking military delegation was warmly received by China's Northern Fleet navy officials at Qingdao, a major city in Eastern China, on Wednesday.
This visit which has taken place by an invitation by Chinese naval forces commander aims to strengthen bilateral relations especially in the military sphere, enhance cooperation and exchange views.
Iran’s delegation is scheduled to visit the Northern Fleet HQ and Chinese marine equipment such as navy destroyers, frigates, submarines and hold a meeting with the Chinese navy commander.
During the first stage of their trip on Monday, Rear Admiral Sayyari visited Shanghai naval base. With the visit being Iranian commander’s very first to China, Commander of the Shanghai Naval Base Wang Yung called it a turning point in bilateral naval ties.
