Iran’s National Petrochemical Company (NPC) and Indian Board of Trade resumed a new round of negotiations in Tehran to participate in building new petrochemical complex in the country.
Following Iran-China big oil deal and in order to develop oil trades between the two countries, India arranged a visit to Tehran to prevent staying behind investment opportunities provided by Iran’s oil and petrochemical industry.
India is Iran's biggest oil client after China, although its imports from Tehran have declined under pressure from western sanctions.
During the negotiations held behind closed doors in Tehran, Indians expressed readiness to participate and invest in order to build a new petrochemical complex in Assaluyeh and port of Chabahar.
