IRGC Cmdr.: Nation supports nuclear negotiators

TEHRAN, Apr. 07 (MNA) – The commander-in-chief of the IRGC has extended his gratitude to nuclear negotiators; says nation will support nuclear diplomacy front.

Maj. Gen. Mohammad Ali Jafari who was addressing an IRGC commanders meeting on Tuesday, said that nation’s resistance against the US had rendered blunt its most cutting weapon in imposing its political will on the Islamic Republic of Iran; “the US once sought to change Iran’s behavior, now itself changes its own political behavior of the past and were forced to forget the options on the table and to prefer a diplomatic option and solution for nuclear issue,” he added.

Jafari emphasized that “the glory of the resistance by our noble nation brought the US president to this historic acknowledgement of the fact that military option and sanctions, if continued, would strengthen Iran’s will in the road to independence.”

“Iran’s Revolutionary negotiators have so far protected the rights of the nation in diplomatic battle; the IRGC and the nation appreciates their selfless efforts and political good offices in committing to the redlines drawn [by the Leader],” said the commander-in-chief, who, however, believed that the US would make the path very difficult for the future of this diplomatic battle using their weapons of dishonesty and mistrust.

Jafari also said that he was quite ensured that as high honorable president and foreign minister and other senior members of the negotiation team have clearly asserted, “our redline is, apart from protecting the right to enrichment and fuel cycle in research and development, ‘full removal of sanctions related to nuclear program’ as the centerpiece of demands by the nation.

“We expect to see that our valiant diplomatic system to grasp the opportunity to use our immense potentials in the path to defend the glory of the Revolution and the country along with removal of sanctions; Iranian nation will support the diplomatic front in nuclear negotiations and will not allow the enemies’ cunning subterfuges through rendering a distorted interpretation of the joint statement, to damage the nation-state mutual trust,” Jafari concluded.
