The Atomic Energy Organization of Iran (AEOI) Spokesman Behrouz Kamalvandi told IRNA the cooperation between Iran and the IAEA was 'satisfactory.'
“The visit of the IAEA team headed by the Agency’s Deputy Director General Tero Varjoranta will last for two days. The team is scheduled to hold talks with the AEOI officials and experts,” said Kamalvandi.
According to him, one of the issues to be discussed is their allegations on Marivan’s explosions, and the other one is related to papers published in Iran in relation to neutron transport and associated modeling and calculations and their alleged application to compressed materials.
“We have already provided sufficient explanation on the article and do not think it needs any further explanation,” said Kamalvandi, also noting that Iran would give managed access to the IAEA team to inspect Marivan site once they can specify the exact location where they think the explosions have happened.
The last technical meeting between the two sides was held in November last year.
Last Monday Director General of the IAEA once again confirmed Iran's non-diversion of its declared nuclear activities under the IAEA safeguards.
Iran’s transparency and continued compliance with the resolutions of the nuclear program reveals its serious willingness for the nuclear negotiations with the six states to come to an ultimate agreement.
