Iran launches first domestic crew boat

TEHRAN, Feb. 01 (MNA) – A new model of Iran’s first domestically manufactured crew boat 'Parmida 6' was launched in Bushehr.

This light vessel of passenger and equipment transporting  is designed and produced by Shahid Mahallati Maritime Institute and was unveiled with the presence of Commander of naval forces of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Rear Admiral Ali Fadavi.

The aluminium vessels have a prominent place in sailing and shipping industry due to light weight, high speed, less corrosion, and low preservation costs. Crew boats, additionally, are capable of transporting passengers, loads, and equipments.

With a maximum speed of 25 nautical miles per hour, the boat has the capacity to carry 73 passengers and eight crew on board.

The first version of the vessel, 'Parmida 1,' was built in 2010.
