Iran names Greco-Roman athletes for Takhti Cup

The 35th annual freestyle and Greco-Roman Wrestling tournament will be held in the Iranian western province of Kermanshah from February 12 to 13.

The selected athletes include first to third rankings of adults Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship, wrestlers sent to youth international competitions and the wrestlers who have been elected by the technical council:

59 kg: Mohammad Faghiri, Mohammad Nourbakhsh, Omid Ghahremani, Hamid Zare’

66 kg: Mohammadali Garaee, Vahid Mirfath Elahi, Majid Ya’ghoubi, Ehsan Farahani

71 kg: Boroumand Aslan, Abbas Moheb Tash, Pejman Poshtam, Azim Garmsiri

75 kg: Vahid Babaee Jafari, Mohammad Karimi, Fouad Karimi, Saeed Gholami

80 kg: Ali Zinati Refah, Masoud Moradi, Yousef Akhbari, Masih Eslami

85 kg: Saman Azizi, Milad Khosravi, Abolfazl Fallah Doost

98 kg: Seyyed Mostafa Salehizadeh, Mohammad Kazemi, Mehdi Keshavarz, Majid Aliari

130 kg: Abbas Nouri, Pouria Mir Masoumzadeh, Arman Nazari

The selected members to technical council include Hadi Alizadeh Pournia (Qom), Mojtaba Karimfar (Khouzestan), Payam Boyeri (Khouzestan) and Bashir Babajanzadeh (Mazandaran).

Wrestlers sent to youth international competitions are Reza Khedri, Behrouz Maleki, Ali Arsalan, Ramin Taheri, Ali Sharifi, Mohammad Ebrahimi and Babak Razmpoush.
