Artist to depict round-the-world trips in paintings

TEHRAN, Dec. 20 (MNA) – Iranian artist Ali Akbar Sadeghi is to showcase the retelling illustrations of his journeys to different parts of the world at Arasbaran Culture House, Tehran.

The Iranian artist who has the invention of a new style in stained glass art to his name told Mehr News that his art exhibition is titled ‘Travelling with Ali Akbar Sadeghi.’

 

“Whenever I go on a journey, I’ll make sure to have a paper and a pencil at hand to draw the places I visit at my free time. The result of these adventures has been some 60 works of art which are set to be displayed at Arasbaran Culture House on Dec. 26.”

Sadeghi’s black and white drawings are a surrealist depiction of his encounters with various places in north of Iran, Dubai, London, New York, Vancouver, and other cities. His works are going on sale at some 5,000 USD.

Ali Akbar Sadeghi was born in 1937 in Tehran and graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Tehran. He invented a special style in stained glass art with an Iranian air to it in 1959, and for years has painted in various fields of art including animation, promotional graphics, box-making, and book cover illustrations.
