Hojjati, on his way to Kazakhstan, made a short visit to Moscow to meet with Mehdi Sanayi, Iran ambassador to Russia. Hojjati emphasized that Ministry of Agriculture tried to facilitate the export of Iranian agriculture and dairy products to Russia. “The certificate to export Iranian aquatic products has been issued,” he added.
Iranian ambassador, also, highlighted the great capacity of Iran-Russia commercial cooperation on agriculture products and expressed hope for expansion of bilateral relations in agriculture.
Russia, after being subjected to sanctions by West, has ceased the import of agriculture products from sanction-imposing countries. Therefore, it is looking for other producers to fulfill the need.
Iran and Russia have agreed upon export of agriculture and aquatic products and it is expected that exporting of Iranian products to Russia begin in near future.
