Sharif Univ. to host foreign Muslim students

TEHRAN, Dec. 06 (MNA) – Sharif University of Technology deputy of education said that the University plans to offer scholarships to a number of Muslim foreign students to further develop friendship and brotherhood between Iran and the Muslim world.

A series of meetings on Imam Hussein (PBUH) Uprising and Movement of Ashura are being held by Ministry of Science, Research and Technology's Office of Non-Iranian Student Affairs every Tuesday in Tehran’s different universities and hosts students from Iraq, Lebanon, Tajikistan, Romania, Turkey, etc.

During the fifth meeting held at Sharif University of Technology, Deputy of Education Dr. Mir-Emadi stressed the need for development of close ties, brotherhood and friendship among Islamic countries and said expansion of relations would increase security of these countries.

“Sharif University of Technology plans to offer scholarship to a number of foreign students from Islamic countries to further develop friendship and brotherhood between Iran and the Muslim world,” Mir-Emadi said.

Underlying the academic and scientific position of Sharif University of Technology, he acknowledged the university as one of the best universities in the country hosting Olympiad winners and high-ranked candidates of Iranian entrance exam every year and expressed willing to host non-Iranian students from other Islamic countries too.
