Majid Nasir Poorsardehayi, Presidential Parliamentary Deputy of Supervision and Coordination said the new science minister nominee, Fakhreddin Ahmadi Danesh Ashtiani was introduced to Majlish today on Nov. 11.
Majid Nasir Poorsardehayi added that according to Parliament's internal regulations, the MPs will have ten days to review the new proposed minister’s programs and it is likely they will examine the qualification of the new nominee for a confidence vote on next Tuesday or Wednesday.
Fakhreddin Ahmadi Danesh Ashtiani is a professor in Khajeh Nasir Toosi University of Technology and previously served in different responsibilities including deputy of Planning and Development in Ministry of Science, Research and Technology.
Minister of Science, Research and Technology Reza Faraji-Dana was impeached and then dismissed by the Parliament in August.
