Iran in giants’ group in World Men’s Volleyball Championship

TEHRAN, Aug. 05 (MNA) – Iran has fallen in the fourth group with Italy, the US, France, Belgium and Puerto Rico in 18th World Men’s Volleyball Championship.

The games will be played in Poland beginning in August 30. Almost giants are assigned into the fourth group where the US and Italy, the champion and the third team, respectively, along with the Iran, Asian champion and fourth in FIVB Volleyball World League 2014 are assigned. France, the second champion, completes the constellation in this group.

The final round will have 24 teams in four groups, with seven Polish cities hosting the games. Four teams from each group will qualify for the next round, which will play again in two 8-team groups.

The groupings:

1st group: Poland (host), Argentina, Serbia, Australia, Cameroon, Venezuela.

2nd group: Brazil, Cuba, Germany, Tunisia, South Korea, Finland.

3rd group: Russia, Bulgaria, Canada, Egypt, China, Mexico.

4th group: Italy, the US, Iran, France, Puerto Rico, Belgium.
