Iran seeks quick release of its diplomat in Yemen

TEHRAN, July 21 (MNA) – Iranian deputy FM in Arab and African Affairs says more serious measures by Sanaa needed to free Iranian diplomat.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian stressed that procedure to release abducted Iranian diplomat had been prolonged and described it as 'unacceptable.'

“Tehran expects Yemeni officials take necessary measures for immediate release of Noor Ahmad Nikbakht,” Amir-Abdollahian emphasized.

He also confirmed that the Iranian diplomat is in good health condition.

Noor Ahmad Nikbakht, Iran’s administrative attaché was kidnapped in Sanaa in July 20 2013 by terrorist groups en route to the Iranian embassy.
