Kovač: Iran would fight for ‘every point’

TEHRAN, July 14 (MNA) – Iran’s men’s volleyball coach has said the team would fight for ‘every single point’ in Florence.

Slobodan Kovač, who was talking to the press in the sidelines of the ceremony to honor and farewell Iran’s national volleyball squad yesterday, said that his team would fight to show its best performance, “despite the fact that all teams in the World League finals are powerful.”

“Iran will attend the finals with its ideal conditions; we have prepared for the finals in qualification matches step by step,” Kovač asserted. “We know Brazil and Russia well enough; I hope to see my players to perform in such a level in Florence that another such ceremony would be necessary,” he added, and that “we will fight for every point in Italy; except for Australia, who was qualified for finals from the second league, others are among the best teams of the world. It is important for us to display a beautiful show.”
