Ali Akbar Salehi told reporters on Saturday that what Leader announced about the country’s annual need for amount of nuclear enrichment was according to the figures set in Geneva joint Plan of Action.
Head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization pointed to the recent news stories going on wire in western media, who speculated that Tehran proposed P5+1 specify the number of centrifuge machines, adding that Iran’s annual need in accordance to the joint Plan of Action and the Leader’s announcement was 190 kSUW.
Salehi said that this amount was required for Bushehr, Arak Plants and Tehran Research Reactor.
Salehi added that the number of machines required to produce 190 kSUW depended on the machines’ power; “19 K centrifuges are needed in the case 10-SWU machines are used and if 24-SWU machines are used the country will need 8 K centrifuges,” he asserted.
