Dr Mohammad Hassan Osareh said that Iran supported plans for herbal medicine production in the country and the medicine for Alzheimer had now been produced in industrial level.
He added that a company supported by the committee was producing a medication for MS and its results would be soon publicized. ”The committee aims at introducing more than seventy products which are under legal authorization,” he said.
“Iran’s special geography allows the diversity of herbals and the committee seeks to boost the country’s place in the world and revive Iranian traditional medicine,” said he.
Botanists and researchers say that Iran has around 8000 species of plant life and researches indicate that more than 2300 species have remedial characteristics or can be used as cosmetic products.
