Iran, Yemen to establish political advisory committee

TEHRAN, May 24 (MNA) – Iran’s chargé d'affaires to Yemen has said a meeting of political advisory committee would be held in the near future.

“This is the third time a deputy-level committee will be held,” said Morteza Abedini and that “Iran and Yemen examined friendly and clear bilateral ties in a recent visit of Iran’s deputy FM for Arab and African affairs to Sana.”

Abedini added that in the recent visit by Amir-Abdollahian Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized on importance of security and stability in relations of both countries and dubbed Yemen’s stability and security as its own, adding that the Islamic Republic of Iran would not countenance any unrest in the region ‘because any unrest in the region is according to the enemies’ will’.

Abedini said that the political advisory committee was a result of recent visit by Amir-Abdollahian to Sana’a and that the committee would be between the deputy foreign ministers of the two countries in Tehran.

“Both sides will discuss issues of interests for countries including political, security, cultural and economic issues,” added Iran’s charge d'affaires to Yemen.

On abducted Iranian diplomat in Yemen, Abedini said that Mr. Nikbakht was reportedly ‘all safe and healthy.’
