Argentinean ambassador likes Iranian veteran goal keeper

TEHRAN, May 20 (MNA) – Argentina’s ambassador to Tehran has attended Mehr News and told MNA correspondents he has always liked football and liked Iranian veteran goal keeper late Naser Hejazi.

In an interview with MNA correspondents, Luis Nicolas Guillermo said that he was interested in Iran National Football team matches and watched some of them. He added that he used to like Naser Hejzai, Iran’s goal keeper of National Football team in 1978 World Cup, who played well in the matches.

Asked about Iran, Argentina rivalry in Group F in 2014 World Cup Guillermo said that he would like to see his national team win the match with Iran, on the other hand he liked Iran as well, but he wished Iran defeats all teams unless Argentina; then both Iran and Argentina would book their place in the next round.

Mehr News correspondent also asked whether Guillermo had ever used sports diplomacy to help ties closer between the two countries and he responded that they helped with volleyball and futsal teams.
