TEHRAN, April 19 (MNA) – Iran’s Parliament speaker has attended Farsi Language Teaching Center inauguration ceremony at Belarusian Teachers Training University.

Ali Larijani attended a ceremony to open the Iranology Foundation and newly-launched Persian Language Teaching Center at Belarusian Teachers Training University.

In the ceremony three students of Belarusian University recited some couplets by Iranian poet Khayyam to the audiences.

Larijani asserted that learning Persian language helps students understand new and more conceptions of Persian poetry.

He told the students that Iran has been center for civilization since the ancient times and it had scientific and mystical heritage behind and that “learning Persian language opens a new horizon for students.”

Belarusian Teachers Training University Dean welcomed Larijani and said that they revere Iran and its history and culture; thus, “we decided to establish an Iranology Foundation and Persian Language Teaching Center in their university.”
