Persian Gulf water moves to central Iran

TEHRAN, March 11 (MNA) – Deputy Supervisor of National Water and Wastewater Engineering Company Operation has said a project for transferring water from Persian Gulf to central Iran will be operated in upcoming year.

Ali Asghar Ghane said that water and wastewater projects worth $ 33m in the country were underway and $ 525m other projects had been passed by the Parliament.

He added that studies on Persia Gulf water transfer to central Iranian Plateau was initiated in 2013 and further implementation studies will be started by coming year and that the project would cover a population of 48 million people in a 50-year horizon.
