Iran appoints head of consulate in holy city of Najaf

TEHRAN, March 4 (MNA) – Iran’s foreign ministry has appointed head of consulate in holy city of Najaf, Iraq.

Abdulrahim Sadatifar was proposed by Mohammad Javad Zarif and endorsed by Rouhani for the position in Najaf. Sadatifar has formerly served as Iran’s ambassador to Columbia and as chargé d'affaires.

He also has served as the head of foreign ministry’s political office for Latin America, ministry’s general director and FM advisor.
