Cmndr. confirms Iranian guards release  

QOM, March 1 (MNA) –Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces has confirmed the five Iranian abducted guards' release. 

Deputy Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces for Cultural Affairs and Defense Publicity Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri said that the five Iranian border guards who were kidnapped earlier in February are relesaed now. 

Early today IRNA reported that according to Pakistani Dunya News the Iranian abducted soldiers were released with some other hostages in Pakistan but no other official has confirmed the news. 
 
Iran’s ambassador to Pakistan, Alireza Haqiqian, had also told Mehr News correspondent that “Islamic Republic of Iran’s embassy in Pakistan pursued the issue but no Pakistani officials has confirmed so far that the released hostages were the five Iranian border guards.” and that “as soon as the Iranian soldiers' release is confirmed officially, Iranian embassy to Pakistan will publicize it.”
 
 
Five Iranian border guards were abducted on February 6 in Jakigour region in the southeastern Iranian Sistan and Baluchestan Province by Jaysh Al-Adl terrorist group.
 
On February 22 delegations from Iran and Pakistan established a joint committee in Pakistani city of Quetta, capital of Balochistan province, to address abducted Iranian border guards.
 
Iran had also demanded that Pakistan should arrest and extradite terrorist groups kidnapping Iranian border guards.
