Today’s discussions have been resumed 10:30 local time in Tehran. The meeting is reported to address Salehi-Amano six-part agreement made in Tehran. Iranian officials say they had been committed to obligations made in six-part agreement including granting access for the inspectors to Arak heavy water complex and Bandar Abbas Gachin uranium mine, and providing information on the IAEA-claimed transparency. The IAEA inspectors are in Tehran to finalize the agreement.
Among the main agenda in today’s session is the prospect of cooperation between two parties to the agreement. After Geneva joint Plan of Action which assigned the IAEA with a prominent role, inspectors have been frequented Tehran, and the cooperation between the IAEA and Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization has found such scopes as to persuade Mr. Salehi the head of Atomic Organization to recommend the IAEA inspectors to avoid haste in pursuing the IAEA demands, and consider both sides’ capabilities.
Behrouz Kamalvandi, the Atomic Energy Organization spokesperson told the media on Thursday that Saturday’s negotiation would address the Western concerns. “But as long as they seek to be ensured on their concerns, it will be viable technically,” he was quoted to have said.
