Iran was defeated by Qatar 23-22 at the Khalifa Sports City's Hall in Manama, Bahrain on Tuesday.
The Iranian team will face loser of Bahrain and the UAE on Thursday in the bronze medal match.
Iran had already qualified for the 2015 World Championship along with host Bahrain, Qatar and the UAE.
The 2015 World Championship will be held with the participation of 24 teams in Qatar from January 17 to February 1, 2015.
