TEHRAN, Jan. 19 (MNA) – Iran's Leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei on birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad and Imam Sadeq (pbut) has urged all Muslims to confront any efforts that target their unity, calling this a big responsibility for Muslims.

"Muslims have more commonalities than differences and unity means relying on commonalties " Leader added and that “both Shiites and Sunnis must accept that it is a big obligation for all to stand against the anti-unity factors.”

He also warned that the enemies are struggling to provoke infighting among various Muslim sects and to promote extremism.

"The enemies' main goal is to divert Muslims' attention from Palestine," Ayatollah Khamenei explained in a meeting with Iranian officials and foreign participants in the 27th International Islamic Unity Conference in Tehran on Sunday.
