Iran’s Paralympic Week to be commemorated

TEHRAN, Dec. 4 (MNA) – The people with disabilities will celebrate the last day of the Iran’s Paralympic Week on Wednesday.

The motto of the Iran’s Paralympic Week is: “Relying on God, Empowerment, Hope, Happiness”.

According to president of Iran's National Paralympic Committee (NPC) Mahmoud Khosravivafa, more than 30,000 people with disabilities will attend the ceremony across the country.

“We are going to encourage those who are disabled and remind them that they can tackle their problems. The Paralympic Week will be supported by the interior ministry and the other ministries,” Khosravivafa said.

“Before, some Iranian families were concerned about their disabled child in the society but after our athletes won the medals in the Paralympic Games, they are proud of their kids,” he added.
