First draft of citizenship rights charter released

TEHRAN, Nov. 27 (MNA) – The first draft of citizenship charter promised by Iran’s president has been released.

Mehr News reported that the draft prepared by the cooperation with university professors, elites, and seminary schools was released along with government’s report in the occasion of 100th day of Rouhani’s government incumbency in the president website.

The text of the charter presented in the statement by president’s legal deputy, as follows:  

In the name of God, the Compassionate,

Dear citizens,

Iranian glorious people, elites, academics, civil activists,

The President’s deputy for legal issues is pleased to inform the public that: as promised by the president of the Islamic Republic of Iran, the deputy has managed to prepare the first draft of citizenship rights charter thanks to the cooperation of university professors, seminary students, and other civil activists within first 100 days of the cabinet incumbency.

The charter will be before the views of Iran’s glorious people for a month, especially academics and seminary students, civil society, NGOs, and other social sectors to collect opinions to improve on the draft. The opinions will be compiled and presented to the president as a separate draft.

Hereby we seek the help from all citizens to improve and complete the draft as first citizenship rights ever drafted in the country, which is a manifestation of the president’s determination to realize the content of the drafts.
