Alborz Province exports $39m in goods to Asia, Europe

KARAJ, Nov. 25 (MNA) – Alborz province customs office director general has said the province exports $39.68m in goods.

Afshin Amini told Mehr News that in last seven months the province exported 38, 138 tones of goods worth of $39.68m to Asian and European countries, “which shows a 62 percent increase in weight and 192 per cent in value compared to that in the same time last year.”

“The larger part of exports consisted different types of food pastes worth of more than $8m, which is the province’s relative advantage in this sector,” he added. PVC, Petroleum products including lubricants, child nutrition products, food industry products, carpet, and industrial goods included the province exports.

“Iraq was the destination of the major part of goods exported with $15.059m; Afghanistan imported $11m and Pakistan did so $7.515m in goods from Alborz. Germany, Turkey, Georgia, Turkmenistan, Britain, Uzbekistan, Syria, and others received exports from Alborz,” Amini said.
