Sharif Sat ready to be launched

TEHRAN, Nov. 20 (MNA) – SharifSat, designed and made by Sharif University of Technology will be delivered to Aerospace Agency.

Mehr News reported that SharifSat was planned to be stationed in LEO (Low Earth Orbit). SharifSat is equipped with imaging camera capable of taking high-resolution pictures up to less than 10 meters from the earth. It would code and sent the data to earth.

SharifSat is 50Kg and has been developed by more than 100 people, students, and researchers of Sharif University of Technology.

The previous imaging satellite was designed for resolution of 100 cm. and black-and-white; the present imaging devise has a resolution of 5m and takes color photos. It is to be delivered to Aerospace organization and to be launched by Safir-B1 carrier.
