Iran’s national interest a priority in negotiations

TEHRAN, Nov. 16 (MNA) – Iran’s senior nuclear negotiator has said no deal would be signed unless it recognizes Iran’s national interests.

Mehr News quoted Abbas Araghchi Iran’s senior negotiator saying that a tough job was ahead. “No deal will be signed if it ignored Iran’s undisputable rights,” said Araghchi, and that “Mohamamd Javad Zarif will visit Italy to a meeting with his Italian counterpart and then will attend in Genève negotiations with Powers.”

Araghchi told Mehr News that in his phone call with Helga Schmidt, Ashton’s aide, they talked about Zarif-Ashton meeting before the main negotiations and other issues. “The meeting would be in a breakfast or dinner feast,” he added.

Asked about November 20 and 21 Genève negotiations, Araghchi predicted a tough job ahead.
