Lloyds Ready To Cooperate With Iranian Insurance Industry

TEHRAN July 17 (MNA) –- Lloyd’s of London Chairman Lord Peter Levene called for more cooperation between his company and Iran’s insurance industry, the public relation department of the state-owned Iran Central Insurance (ICI)said here Saturday.

At a meeting in London between the chairman of the UK’s leading insurance company and the director of ICI Abdu-Alnaser Hemmati, Levene was apprised of Iran’s economic and societal developments as well as the trend toward privatization of the country’s insurance industry.

Hemmati also asked for the expansion of bilateral ties in the field of reinsurance as well as technical cooperation.

Lord Levene anticipated that his company could play a more effective role in the development of the Iranian insurance industry.
