TEHRAN, June 30 (MNA) – Police Chief Mohammad-Baqer Qalibaf on Wednesday attended the parliament and elaborated on the achievements, plans and problems of the forces under his command.

Qalibaf who came to parliament at the invitation of the presiding board told the deputies that by relying on expert knowledge the law enforcement forces are ready to establish law and order in society and do away with social problems.

 

He said protecting people’s lives, property, maintaining public security, fighting against drug trafficking and guarding eastern borders, where drugs are trafficked into the country, are the main tasks of the police.

 

He said all Iranians should enjoy equal security adding that any kind of crime should be dealt with accordingly regardless of people’s religion, political backings and etc.
