TEHRAN June 30 (MNA) –- Bids for the 11th Olefin Project, the second phase of Asaluyeh in Iran’s southeastern oil-rich seaboard region, has started and it is estimated to be finalized within the next 3 months, an Oil Ministry official announced here Wednesday.

SHANA, quoting Mohammad Khayyat, deputy managing director of the state-run Petrochemical Development Management Company (PDMC) said that the companies from Germany and France as well as Iranian companies have voiced readiness to participate in the project.

 

Established in 1991 to achieve strategic development plans in the petrochemical industry, PDMC, an affiliate of the state-owned National Petrochemical Company (NPC), has so far handled about $8 billion in various development petrochemical contracts.

 

The company is currently organizing the Eighth and Twelfth Olefin projects’ bids in Asaluyeh and Bandar Imam, respectively and the Ilam Petrochemical Project in the western province of Ilam.
