TEHRAN, June 19 (MNA) – Iran voluntarily suspended enriching uranium in a special time but it may revise its decision, secretary of Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) announced on Saturday.

Iran suspended enriching uranium in order to win the international confidence but it was at a time that Iran had neither signed nor implemented the Additional Protocol to the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and moreover at that time Iran had not given a full report of its nuclear program to the UN nuclear watchdog, Rowhani told reporters.

Rowhani said Iran told the European big three in October last year that Iran has inalienable right to enrich uranium and it would never stop its nuclear fuel cycle.

Rowhani said now the atmosphere has changed: Iran has signed and implemented the protocol, inspections have been conducted, a detailed report of Iran’s nuclear program have been submitted to the International Atomic Energy Agency and now Iran believes that an atmosphere of confidence have been created between Iran and the IAEA.

He said now it has become clear that Iran has not breached the NPT and instead it is the enemies of the Islamic Republic which have breached the Article 4 of the NPT.
