TEHRAN June 6 (MNA) -- Over 250 foreign researchers and scholars from 45 countries have visited Ayatollah Mar’ashi-Najafi’s library in Qom.

According to Hossein Ghaffari, docent and translator of the library, the reputation of the complex has drawn researchers from the Middle East, Europe, East Asia, and the north of Africa to visit the library.      

 

Invited to Qom by the Institute for the Compilation and Publication of the Works of Imam Khomeini, the group itself asked to visit the library, Ghaffari said.

 

Visiting the library for the second time, Markus Sergey reporter of Russian Islamic Radio asked for more time to see all parts of the library.

 

Wishing for having such a great complex in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Leningrad, he said that Mar’ashi-Najafi’s library is unique in the world; you can find there all about the religions at a glance.

 

Burris Carlos a university professor from Sri Lanka also said that he had never seen such an invaluable complex of ancient books and manuscripts.

 

A total of 250 foreign scholars have traveled to Iran in order to take part at the Two-Day Seminar of “Imam Khomeini’s Thought in View of World Scholars”.
