UN Chief calls for easing anti-Iranian sanctions

TEHRAN, Oct. 20 (MNA) –The UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon has called for lifting sanctions against Iran.

Ban Ki-moon in a report titled 'the situation of human rights in Iran' told the UN Security Council that consequences of international and unilateral sanctions against Iran have made difficulties for all walks of life in Iran and has embattled providing humanitarian aid to the country.

Ban Ki-moon said that sanctions imposed against Iran because of what he described as contradictory documents on Iranian nuclear issue prevent transfer of financial resources for implementation of the UN projects, technical aid and purchase of equipment for Iran, Voice of Russia reported.
