Tehran to host Azerbaijan Cultural Week

TEHRAN, Sept. 24 (MNA) -- Tehran’s Niavaran Cultural Center will be hosting Azerbaijan Cultural Week opening on September 27.

Azerbaijani Minister of Culture and Tourism Abulfaz Garayev at the head of a delegation is scheduled to visit Tehran for the event, Islamic Culture and Relations Organization (ICRO) cultural deputy Mohsen Pak-Aiin said in a press release on Friday.

The week will begin with the opening speech expected to be delivered by ICRO director Mehdi Mostafavi and Azeri culture minister Garayev. Several programs are arranged for the week including book fair, photo exhibit, and film screening running until October 1.

Culture Minister Garayev is due to meet several Iranian officials. The delegation will also travel to Tabriz and Mashhad during their stay.
