Rafsanjani says Muslims must be vigilant in face of sacrilegious moves

TEHRAN, Sept. 18 (MNA) – Expediency Council Chairman Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani has called on the Muslim world to maintain vigilance in the face of sacrilegious moves against the Holy Quran.

The recent desecration of the Quran has hurt the feelings of 1.5 billion Muslims around the world which must be compensated, Rafsanjani said in Tehran on Saturday.

The insult to the Quran and the religious sanctities by the global arrogance and Zionism is not an issue to be overlooked by the Muslim world, he added.
