TABRIZ, Sept. 18 (MNA) -- Tehran’s famous Persepolis football team conceded a late goal for the second straight week in the Iranian Professional League (IPL) on Saturday.

Persepolis was held to a 1-1 draw by Shahrdari of Tabriz at Tabriz’s Yadegare Emam stadium. Mohammad Mansouri gave the lead Persepolis in the 82nd minute. The Tehran based team had chance for one more goal during the injury time but Mohammad Noori’s header hit the bar.

Seven minutes into the stoppage time the hosts equalized the match. Shahram Gudarzi knocked the loose ball in front of goal.

Persepolis was held to a draw against Pas of Hamedan, conceding a late goal last week.

Persepolis remained second on the IPL table with 18 points behind Zob Ahan with 19 points. Esteghlal is third with 16 points.

“Unfortunately we failed to manage the match against Shahrdari of Tabriz; I am not satisfied with this result,” Persepolis coach said after match in a press conference.
