MPs not happy with implementation of Outlook Plan

TEHRAN, Sept. 15 (MNA) – MP Hamid-Reza Fouladgar has called for an investigation into the implementation of the 20-Year Outlook Plan (2005-2025).

The Majlis must form a committee to determine what has been done over the past years to achieve the goals of the plan, Fouladgar told the Mehr News Agency.

In a meeting with Ahmadinejad and his cabinet members in late August, the Supreme Leader called for a serious investigation to ascertain how to achieve the goals within the projected time period.

Fouladgar added that a probe into the realization of goals in the Fourth Development Plan (2005-2010) could show what has been done so far.

It would also help the administration implement the Fifth Development Plan (2010-2015) in a proper way, Fouladgar opined.

The four and five-year plans are part of the Outlook Plan which has been drawn up for the long-term sustainable growth.

MP Mousa al-Reza Servati has also criticized the government for not reporting to the Majlis on the performance on the Fourth Development Plan.

According to a probe into the Fourth Development Plan, only 30 percent of the goals have been achieved in the plan, Servati said in an interview with the MNA.

In addition, MP Hojjatoleslam Seyyed Reza Akrami told MNA that the government has fallen behind the Outlook Plan.

Moreover, a number of lawmakers had already expressed their criticism of administration’s performance in this regard.
