Iranian actress to hold charity exhibit in Sweden, Denmark

TEHRAN, Sept. 15 (MNA) -- Iranian actress Leila Otadi will hold a photo exhibition on the architecture of sacred places in Sweden and Denmark to raise funds for orphaned children and charity organizations.

Entitled “Ziggurat”, the exhibit featuring 50 photos will be held at the Niavaran Cultural Center from September 17 to 23.

“I have taken photos during my trips to different cities in Iran and other countries. With the help of Ahmad Ahmadi we selected 50 photos out of 12,000 for the exhibit,” Otadi told the Persian service of MNA.

She went on to say that she will hold the exhibit at her own expense due to some problems her colleague faced over holding a joint art exhibition.

“I choose the title ‘ziggurat’ for the showcase since the photos are on religions and architecture that I have taken in different countries including Austria, Italy, France, and Arab United Emirates,” she mentioned.

“I studied architecture and began taking photos from that time however, I took up photography as a profession over the past two years under the supervision of renowned masters,” she said.
