“Made in Iran” to try its luck at Armenian festival

TEHRAN, Sept. 14 (MNA) -- The Iranian play “Made in Iran” will be competing in the 8th edition of the HIGH FEST, Armenian international performing arts gala which will take place in Yerevan from October 1 to 8.

“Made in Iran” will be performed by the Emruz theater troupe led by stage and screen actress Pantea Bahram. Sara Reyhani, Amir-Reza Delavari, Dariush Fa’ezi and Bahram will also appear in the play.

Focusing on carpet weaving and Iranian culture, the play was Bahram’s directorial debut that was staged at Tehran’s Qashaqai Hall in 2005 under the name of “Avizhak”.

“Made in Iran” won the Best Original Performance award at the World Festival of Puppet Art in Prague in June 2008.

It has been staged at the International Neapolis Festival of Children’s Theater in Tunisia in December 2008.

Bahram had previously performed the play at the 4th Black and White Theater Festival in Imatra, Finland in June 2007.
