Tehran calls Hillary Clinton’s remarks irrational

TEHRAN, Sept. 12 (MNA) – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast has described U.S. Secretary of State’s recent remarks as “irrational”.

Such remarks are made out of worries in the run-up to the mid-term Congressional elections in the U.S., Mehmanparast told the Mehr News Agency on Sunday.

Hillary Clinton claimed on Wednesday that the United States believes Iran's Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) is driving the country toward military dictatorship.

She went on to say that the United States tries to support what she called democratic forces in Iran, a remark which signifies U.S. intervention in Iran’s internal affairs.
