Iran’s ambassador meets Iraq’s president

TEHRAN, Sept. 6 (MNA) – Iran’s ambassador to Baghdad, Hassan Danayeefar, met with President Jalal Talabani in Baghdad on Sunday.

The two sides discussed ways to expand ties in all areas, which can benefit the two countries’ interests.

Danayeefar also discussed with the Iraqi leader the issue of Iranian firms’ investment in Iraq.

He also highlighted the significance of cooperation between the two nations in all spheres as well as Iran’s support for a new Iraq in which security and stability prevail.

Talabani also underscored the importance of Iran-Iraq economic cooperation and called for creating investment opportunities for Iranian firms in Iraq.
