U.S. Mideast policy not changed: military advisor

KERMAN, May 24 (MNA) – The U.S. has not changed its policy toward the Middle East countries, said Yahya Rahim Safavi, the military advisor to the Supreme Leader.

“The U.S. administration has not changed from the past at all and only the skin color of this country’s president has changed… the U.S. administration’s words and policies toward Iran and other Middle East countries have not changed,” Rahim Safavi said in a ceremony marking the liberation of Khorramshahr in Kerman on Sunday.

Rahim Safavi, a former IRGC commander, said the enemy’s threats should not be neglected. He added Iranians should retain their martyrdom seeking spirit.

Rahim Safavi also praised the culture of resistance in Lebanon and Palestine.

“If Arab leaders were familiar with this culture 60 years ago, Israel would not have taken shape in the region and this country (Palestine) would have been liberated,” he added.

Supreme Leader’s military advisor stated that this sense of resistance is the base of Iran’s security and independence but a lack of vigilance and determination can still cause problems.
